Using an Agile Dish with PitchBlue

Using an agile (typically motorized) dish is not recommended as the primary downlink for reception of programming on the PitchBlue syndication distribution platform.

The reason a fixed dish is recommended is that show format sheets, xml files, schedule data, repair data and other information is constantly being sent via satellite to the MagnuBox even when it is not actively receiving and recording programming. If an agile dish must be used, it is recommended that it is peaked and downlinking from the correct satellite a minimum of 30 minutes before AND after scheduled programming is being sent to the MagnuBox. This will ensure that the Magnubox receives the current schedule data, other data elements and repair data (if needed).
